AMELIA AND TRAVIS’ CHARMING DESTINATION MICROWEDDING IN MAINE

Amelia and Travis’ wedding in Brooklin, Maine, was hands down one of my top three favorite weddings of my 2024 season. Their destination microwedding brought together intimate vibes, creative touches, and the most insane views of Maine’s coastline. Thanks to their spontaneous ocean dip to dancing under the stars, this day felt like a summer camp dream come true.

A Love Story That Started with Small Talk

Amelia and Travis’ story began in Los Angeles, where Travis worked at a coffee shop near Amelia’s tattoo studio. What started as small talk and friendly smiles soon turned into a first date — and the rest, as they say, is history! Amelia, originally from Maine, and Travis, a Colorado native, convinced their friends from California to join them across the country for a wedding weekend that felt as true to them as possible.

A Coastal Summer Camp Micro-wedding in Maine

Their wedding day was packed with unique details that made it so special. From the historic charm of The Lookout Inn, in Brooklin (where they hosted their welcome party, reception, and stayed the weekend!) to their tiny ceremony at Beth Eden Chapel, every aspect of the day was thoughtfully planned. The couple’s summer camp vibe was completed with lobster bakes, starry night dances, and low-tide explorations of the surrounding islands. Guests even got to see swimming shrimp, sea urchins, sand dollars, and hermit crabs — how cool is that?

Intimate, Creative, and Unforgettable Details

Amelia’s personal touches were everywhere, a reflection of her natural artistry. She thrifted her shoes, designed her floral table arrangements using vases from her dad’s house, and rocked an iconic short dress with corset details that fit her style perfectly. Travis brought his laid-back aura, joining Amelia for a dip in the ocean before the ceremony (how epic is that?). Their guest list was small — 30 people total, mostly friends — which made the whole day feel even more intimate and intentional.

Capturing the Magic on Super8

Amelia and Travis’ appreciation for film and vintage aesthetics was a dream come true for me. Shooting their day on Super8 added a layer of nostalgia that perfectly matched the timeless charm of their Maine wedding. Between the ocean views, heartfelt vows, and summer camp vibes, I was in heaven capturing it all in such a sentimental way.

Vendors Who Made It Happen

Amelia and Travis’ wedding was beautifully intimate, so no outside vendors were involved — just me, the breathtaking scenery of Maine, and their incredible creativity. Their ability to pull off such a legendary day is a true tribute to their love and artistic talent!
